I love traveling and enjoy capturing images of local architecture, cultures, natural scenery and wildlife.
In 2001, my husband surprised me with a prosumer-style digital camera to photograph bears in Alaska and I was hooked. Since my initial trip, I travel back to Lake Clark National Park in Alaska annually to capture Brown Bears in their natural habitat. My passion has continued to grow over the years. Much of my spare time is spent learning to improve my perspective and composition of the various scenes I come across during my travels and adventures. I believe my discerning eye pulls me to view the world off the beaten path and helps me to see unique perspectives of things that are right in front of us.
I have travelled to National Parks throughout the United States and have journeyed to the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon to seek out unique landscapes and wildlife to photograph. When I am not traveling, I enjoy exploring my backyard, the city, and surrounding nature to photograph the Pacific Northwest's beauty.
Located in Portland, Oregon, I am a wife, mother, world traveler, and a forever student. I am an avid skier and enjoys ski adventures with my family. I also loves tennis and spending time fishing in Alaska.
I am passionate about travel and photography. I love to bring back images that connect with people and places from around the world. My husband and I have two daughters, and we have ardently gifted our girls the gift of travel, as we feel it is an expense that can only make one richer.
Dawn Holm Photography has been exhibited in local art shows and is collected by individuals, corporate offices and lodgings throughout the US.
